Nice. I just beat Through The Fire and Flames after trying ENDLESSLY. I got 60-something %, but at least I finished.

For some reason, on all the songs that I had a really hard time on, I’d try and try, and then I’d look at the clock, see it was 11:00 at night, and then rock the song with ease. I don’t know how it happens….

I did pretty good singing, 94%. My drumming and guitar playing need some work, but it wasn’t as bad I thought, being the first time and all.

I always liked to read the book after, since it is mostly always better, except in the case of 12 Monkeys, which was exactly the same. I read it only because it was novelized by Elizabeth Hand, who wrote some awesome books.

I can usually figure out if a movie will be good by looking at the poster and seeing who is in it. We figured it would be good because of Will Smith. But we really didn’t have any choice. It was Seven Pounds or the bus to another mall.

Was it good?

I’ve never been the kind of person who can just walk into a theater and see some movie I’ve never heard of. I have to know the background of it, if there was a book it was made from that I need to read first, etc.

Gotta love that vexillology! Had to look it up…

What’s even more ironic is that the Costa Rican flag is modeled on the flag of France!

I really like the elaboration in this fancy sentence you churned out (and others like it)….

And thank you for the update on the economic state of cabdrivers in Costa Rica. That was swell. I always imagine how nice it would be to drive my mom’s dinky little 90s Corolla painted yellow, instead of the Crown Vic behemoths.
Not only for savings on gas, but for easier versatility on crowded streets. The painted stripes on the side of the train in the picture remind of the interesting fact that the country along that long and varied isthmus with the closest vexillological resemblance to the Gringolandia is the C.R..
Red, white, and blue in a similar format. Ironic it has the biggest flock of Gringos among those nations.

I ‘ve forgotten what it’s like to like along the edge of a tectonic plate. I live in L.A. as a little boy and do remember drills at school. Fortunately NYC doesn’t get any quakes.
